Matthew Ristuccia |
Referring to the College’s first Biblical Emphasis Week last spring, PHC President Dr. Graham Walker observed: “Dr. Cockerill’s work showed students how to combine academic rigor with a passion for God’s Word. PHC is committed to the idea that strength of spirit and mind complement each other. And Dr. Cockerill was delighted to be able to serve that way.”
This month, Rev. Ristuccia’s five lectures on Ezekiel will no doubt serve as a deep theological well from which to draw upon throughout the spring semester. Corporate chapels on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will feature readings from the books of Ezekiel and Jeremiah, focusing on many of the passages Rev. Ristuccia preaches this month. Tuesday small groups with members of the faculty and staff, moreover, will continue the focus on prayer that began at the start of fall semester.
“People don’t read Ezekiel as much as they do the Psalms or the Gospels,” Dr. Walker notes. “It’s all God’s Word. We hope the spring focus on Scripture will prove contagious.”
Patrick Henry College also plans to webcast these sessions live. Click here at one of the times below (Eastern) to watch a webcast.
The Rev. Matthew Ristuccia earned an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, an M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary, and a D. Min. from Dallas Theological Seminary. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he is Adjunct Professor of Bible at Philadelphia Biblical University and a regular guest columnist with WORLD Magazine.
